These systems are perfect if you want to heat and/or cool multiple rooms in your house. Each indoor unit is independent from the others so have total control over the temperature in each room. It is important to point out that these systems aren’t compatible with all indoor units. For a multi-room system you have four compatible indoor units to choose from:

  • Wall mounted unit
  • Slim duct unit
  • Compact cassette unit
  • Floor mount unit

Multi-Zone Mini Split (Ductless AC) Installation

Each multi-room mini-split system has up to five zones. “Zone” just means the different rooms you want the indoor units installed in, and with these systems you can service up to five. When you do order your multi room system you can pick and choose which indoor units you want with it. You could have three rooms with wall mounted units and two with slim ducts, or you some other combination.

Plus any of the accessories that go with your new system.

  • Wired remote controller
  • Simple remote controller
  • Wireless remote controller
  • Central remote controller
  • Remote sensor
  • Receiver unit

Most Popular Indoor Mini Split Units

Wall Mounted Mini Split:

These mini-splits come in several different sizes and models, and are best suited for heating and cooling rooms that are more on the medium size. They also need to be mounted six feet up on the wall, so make sure the room you plan to have us install it in has ceilings at least eight feet high.

Cassette Mini Split:

Most mini-split systems are either mounted on a wall or the floor, but if you’re looking to install a heater/cooler that will be less obvious or just want it out of the way we would suggest adding a compact cassette unit to your multi-room system.

These indoor units are installed in your ceiling so the only part that isn’t out of sight is the grill. Compact cassette units put out air from all four of their sides which makes it an ideal option for larger rooms. When you have us install this indoor unit as part of your new multi-room system it’s generally best to have it installed right in the middle of the ceiling no matter which rooms you want them in. If you don’t have it in the middle the compact cassette unit will still heat a room nicely, but because of it’s fan technology and four vents it’s most effective when it’s in the center.

Slim Ducts Mini Split:

IF you’re looking for a smaller heater/cooler for a smaller room, then you’d probably want to go with a slim duct mini-split. These mini-splits are especially great for low temperature weather since they can still run almost perfectly when temperatures drop well below freezing.

Floor Mounted Mini Split Units:

If your ceilings are too low for a wall mounted unit then a floor mounted one would be an ideal replacement. A lot of people like to add these to attics.
