Questions? We have answers!

What is a Single-Room Mini-Split System?

It’s a system that services a single room, and the “split” means that it can put out both hot and cold air. They come in a lot of different sizes and styles. You can visit our “Single-Room Mini-Split System” page to see all of the options we offer and then decide which one is best for you.

What is a Multi-Room Mini-Split System, and how is it different from A Single-Split?

A multi-room system is basically five or less mini-split devices all joined together. It’s a really good option for homes and other smaller buildings because of all the different variations you can make. You can have a wall mounted in one room, and then a slim duct in another. One room can be kept cold if you want a cold room for something, and then you can keep the rest of the rooms at the temperature that’s most comfortable to you.

Do mini-splits work with solar panels?

They can, yes! That’s actually one of the reasons they’re considered to be more environmentally friendly and why they can qualify you for certain tax exemptions in different states.

I’ve heard of multi-splits before, are mini splits the same thing?

Pretty much. Multi splits are ductless heating and cooling systems that allow you to control the temperature of each room in the house. The temperatures in each room can be different, which is the same as when you install a multi-room mini-split. The difference is that a mini split can be installed in up to five rooms, or be installed in just one like you can order on our single-room mini-split page.

Can’t I just buy all the parts I need for the mini-split system and do a little research to install it myself?

That’s a big no. We would highly discourage you from trying to install any mini-split system unless you’re a contractor and have extensive knowledge about these systems and how to install them. Mini-Splits are very technical, and if you don’t get everything just right during the installation it will either not function the way it’s supposed to, or it will just plain break down. That would be a lot of time and money spent for nothing. We want to make sure you get the best use out of your system for as long as possible.

We carry all major brands and they come with extensive warranties.
