Single Zone Mini Split (Ductless AC) Installation

Installing a single-room mini-split system is a great option if you’ve got a room in your house that’s just not getting enough warm or cool air to it. If you have a wine storage room that needs to be kept around 50 degrees or so, one of these systems would be perfect for keeping things at a low temperature. On the other hand, if your garage keeps getting too cold in the winter months a mini-split would make sure you didn’t have to put on a winter coat just to go grab the screwdriver from your toolbox.

Most Popular Units

Wall Mounted:

If your main concern while looking for a heating and cooling unit is your budget, then a wall mounted mini-split system would probably be the best fit for you.

These mini-splits come in several different sizes and models, and are best suited for heating and cooling rooms that are more on the medium size.

They also need to be mounted six feet up on the wall, so make sure the room you plan to have us install it in has ceilings at least eight feet high.

Cassette:

Most mini-split systems are either mounted on a wall or the floor, but if you’re looking to install a heater/cooler that will be less obvious or just want it out of the way we would suggest you get either a cassette or compact cassette mini -split.

Both the regular and the compact cassette mini-split are installed in your ceiling so the only part that isn’t out of sight is the grill. Cassettes put out air from all four of its sides which makes it an ideal option for larger rooms, and it’s generally best to have them installed right in the middle of the ceiling.

If you happen to run a business, the compact cassette mini-split is perfect for heating and cooling offices, boardrooms, and even restaurants and bars.

Universal Mini Split:

The universal mini-split is the most flexible option seeing as it can go anywhere and everywhere. Aside from being a great option for your home they’re also very popular for installing in commercial buildings and similar structures because they’re quiet, low enough not to be noticed when mounted on a wall, but still high to be out of the way of vacuum cleaners. When you have us install a universal mini-split you can choose to have it resting on the floor, mounted low on the wall or on the ceiling.

Slim Ducts:

If you’re looking for a smaller heater/cooler for a smaller room, then you’d probably want to go with a slim duct mini-split. These mini-splits are especially great for low temperature weather since they can still run almost perfectly when temperatures drop well below freezing.
